Emotional intelligence has come to be recognised as a crucial aspect of building and maintaining interpersonal relationships in business and social environments.
Those with higher emotional intelligence find it easier to form and maintain interpersonal relationships and to ‘fit in’ to group situations. They are also better at understanding their own psychological state, which can include managing stress more effectively and being less likely to suffer from depression.
This course will help you to identify the impact of own emotions on others in the workplace, recognise and appreciate the emotional strengths and weaknesses of others, promote the development of emotional intelligence in others and utilise emotional intelligence to maximise outcomes.
If you enrol in this subject only you will have access to the learning environment for 3 months. If you enrol in other subjects/courses over time, you will retain access whilst you continue to have active enrolments.
This course has been mapped to BSBLDR501 Develop and use emotional intelligence, which is included in qualifications including Leadership & Management, Business and Business Administration.
To attain this unit, and for credit towards full qualifications, you will need to complete the assessment questions provided with the subject. Please note the assessment cost is not included in the content fee and you will need to purchase this from within the assessment when you are ready to submit.
